How to make your own hand sanitiser
Store bought hand sanitisers (if you can find them!) are filled with synthetic ingredients that are as scary as the germs they claim to protect you from.
Not only do they also dry and strip our skin, but for sensitive compositions, it can trigger conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and inflammation.

Enter Essential oils. They are antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral by nature. Tapping into their incredible array of medicinal properties is a far healthier way to offer some immune boosting benefits to you and your precious family.
Here is our DIY recipe that will disinfect, while offering your hands some moisture:
- 5 drops of lemon, lemongrass or sweet orange essential oil
- 5 drops of lavender essential oil
- 15 drops of tea tree essential oil
- 5 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
- 1 tablespoon of witch hazel
- 1/4 cup aloe Vera gel (as pure as possible)
Add all ingredients to a small bowl and stir to combine. Transfer hand sanitiser to a small, clean pump bottle and store it for up to six months.
